Appointment Protocol
Appointments are scheduled during a 2-3 hour time window. On the day of your appointment we will try to have a receptionist contact you to let you know that Dr. Christensen is on her way. At this time it is recommended that you have a collar and leash ready to go for any dogs that we will be visiting. We also ask that cats be confined to a single room or carrier, prior to your appointment. This way our time can be spent caring for your pet instead of searching through the house for them! When Dr. Christensen arrives, you may bring the pet out to the van yourself or the veterinary technician will assist if needed. The safety of your pet is very important to us, and we highly recommend dogs be put on a leash with a reliable collar and cats be securely enclosed in their carrier on their way to our mobile unit. Having only one pet at a time in the van helps us to focus on that pet and ensures that we are able to answer all your questions on that pet before starting with another pet. Ideally every pet that is seen at an appointment should come out to the van, but in some cases it is possible for Dr. Christensen to come into the house to examine/treat a pet. There is always a friendly and experienced veterinary assistant at the appointment to provide any additional help Dr. Christensen might need during your pet’s appointment. Owners are encouraged to remain with their pets during an appointment, but may wait inside if so desired.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. At this point we currently only accept checks and cash.
