What to do if your dog doesn't interact with you like he use to or your cat seems confused.......
I attended a veterinary seminar this year where I focused on care of senior pets. If your pet seems to be acting different, don't just assume it is because of their age.
Behavior changes such as decreased interaction, changes in sleeping habits, disorientation, house soiling, aggression and increased vocalization may be signs of health issues or senility. Please let us know if you note any changes with your pet so we can determine if there is a medical reason or if there is the start of senility. Many problems can be treated or improved with medications, food adjustments and exercise.
Below is a evaluation form that lists some of the changes that we can help improve with proper diet and medication.
