Mobile Veterinary Practice will be closing April 26th, 2019
After doing house calls for 20 years, and end of life care for 4 years, Dr. Beth Christensen will be moving out of state so she will no longer be doing end of life care visits in Rockford.
End of life care in the veterinary field can simply be defined as the services we can offer our pets when they are no longer enjoying the quality of life they deserve. It can range from an examination to help determine their quality of life to making the decision to end their suffering through a peaceful death. Dr. Beth Christensen has been practicing veterinary care for over thirty years right here in the Rockford and surrounding areas. For many of those years she has specialized in veterinary care in the home environment. At home veterinary services are especially useful for our pets during end of life care. When your pet is no longer experiencing a good quality of life, Mobile Veterinary Practice will come right to your home where your pet is comfortable, eliminating the need for a stressful car ride to the veterinarian’s office. At home end of life care is also important for pet owners, as they are able to grieve in the comfort of their own home with their family close by. In addition other pets are given the opportunity to say good-bye. A House calls allow us to tailor each appointment to the pet and client’s specific needs and provide compassionate one on one care for beloved pets. We believe the path to healing after the loss of such a special friend is also important, and we have information and resources available to help you and your family deal with your loss.
